Trace Electronics Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide customized quality electronic designs in a cost effective and time efficient manner by engaging in the following :

1. Design electronics that enable manufacturers and retailers to take advantage of overall system cost reductions and increased performance.
2. Identify and improve legacy systems by providing modern solutions that :
  • are less expensive
  • are not in danger of obscolescence
  • take advantage of increases in technology
  • improve manufacturability
  • conform to newer standards for agency compliance, and in some cases
  • allow OEMs to develop new ownership of intellectual property
3. Develop electronic solutions that allow people to take advantage of the calculation and controlling functions of microprocessors in their daily lives, i.e. to make life easier and more effective for people while making a fair profit in the process.
4. Pass on a genuine passion for electronics/microcontrollers to others, especially those who might be interested in starting a career in the field.

In addition, I have acquired a large breadth of knowledge of manufacturing processes including through-hole automation, SMT, metal bending, cutting, welding.  I am capable of programming a wide variety of Universal automation equipment, and for the hardware mentioned in the above list, I also designed test software and hardware for production.  All of the above projects that have implemented flash based processors have also benefited from bootloader software I have written for various processors as well as the pc interface (and palm interface and proprietary interfaces) to program them in production or in the field.  More information about specific work history can be viewed at my Linkedin site here
